Tim brings over 15 years of experience in the wealth management industry having worked with several independent Registered Investment Advisory firms before joining Compound Planning. Throughout his career, Tim has specialized in working with ‘builders’. These are individuals focused on growing their business, careers, and wealth - as well as commonly their families, networks, and passions. Specifically, he helps simplify complex financial problems such as exiting a business, building a private practice, or the intricacies associated with extensive equity compensation. Over his career, Tim has enhanced his on the job training by becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Certified Investment Management Analyst®. Tim graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Finance & Accounting Certificate from the Simon School of Business and received his Masters in Wealth Management from Columbia University. Tim is also an active member of the financial planning community of New York City. He is the President-Elect for the Metro New York Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and engages in pro-bono financial planning activities through the FPA and community coalitions to help low-income families build financial strategies. Presently, he lives in New York City with his wife Emily. Tim grew up in the Twin Cities and remains an avid Minnesota sports fan. Tim spends much of his free time playing hockey, reading history, or searching out new music.
